We have seen a huge improvement in the skill base of our players and the tournaments continue to promote women's floorball in a fun and friendly environment. Women's teams are made up to be a balance of experienced and beginner players. We encourage our ladies to also take advantage of the club trainings on a Tuesday evening, this provides the opportunity to build on their skill base.
Women's Floorball is on the rise with the NZ team taking part in the World Floorball Championship Qualification here in Wellington in 2017. Check out TV1 coverage of this event.

Some feedback from our tournament in 2017:

“I thought the tournament was great fun.  The shorter games made the number of games easier to manage. I liked the fun, cooperative spirit of all the teams. “

“Really liked the shorter games and quick turn around. Pass my thanks onto the other organisers.”

“Thanks for your part in organising the successful ladies’ floorball tournament. I liked the 12 minute games – these meant that we weren’t waiting around for too long.  Playing two back-back was also OK.”

“I  thought the new format shorter games of 12 minutes worked really well, less down time and just as much game time”

From the host:

In review, we had new ladies who has never played before, one was a keen supporter of the Thai team during the January Qualifying Tournament, great to see fan turn player!  A girl group of 12/13 yr olds who are not club players, having fun and practising their floorball (and running hard for their teams). A sprinkle of non-regulars and all the usual suspects, having a Saturday Night run about, couldn't do it without them.
